What makes a happy marriage?
Whats the definition of "the right one"?
Each of us has different expectations when looking for our soulmate.
To be honest, my expectations 10 years ago and now is completely different.
The way I think and act right now is completely different when I was 10 years ago.
It is rather interesting to see how much Ive grown in the past decade.
As we get older, our priorities change.
What is TRUE LOVE?
Is there such thing as the "one and only love"?
Well, 10 years ago, the old Rina might think there is.
And, the old Rina might do anything for the person she loves.
But, time taught me alot of things.
I begin to appreciate the maker of the universe more and more.
To Allah swt, I seek for peace and happiness.
He opened up my eyes to see what is truly important.
So, what do I really look for in a soulmate?
Someone who accepts me for who I am and someone who shares my vision and goals.
Someone who can understands me well.
Someone who can give me space and privacy when I need it.
Someone who can make me laugh and entertain my silly antics when I decide to be silly.
Someone who knows what to do when I am just not in a good mood.
Someone who accepts my family for who they are.
Someone who respects, trusts and believes in me.
Someone who I can turn to when I am down.
And so, is looks really important?
I realized as I aged, I don't really care to doll up anymore.
Sometimes even lazy to dress up and looking all perfect.
Old Rina may thinks that a soulmate needs to have the looks and being charming are vital to being happy.
But, right now, I think that's the least important.
Looks is a temporary loan from Allah. What matters most is the heart and character.
Is it compulsory for a guy to be all romantic and charming?
Well, it is nice for guys to be romantic once in a while.
But, i guess i cant expect them to be like the main leads in Korean dramas.
I got to face the reality. THIS in not a drama.
And, its rather risky to have a soulmate who is too charming.
I might spend my time thinking whether there are "threats" out there.
So, to my future Mr Soulmate, thank you for being my soulmate.
