Found this picture online, and i do agree with it.
My students are indeed always unique and totally interesting,
yet sometimes, or rather to me most of the time
they are simply mysterious.
I wish i could be autistic for just a day.
I want to be in their world to know
what its like to be in their world,
to really understand how their mind works,
to further understand them better.
Being around with them, i think they have
influence my lifestyle in a good way. =)
Most of my students are very organized,
and they prefer a certain way of doing
things every single day.
And, me being super messy is somehow
now more organized! I love
organizing my stuff into sections
and it helps me to remember stuff that way!
And, i like to do more routinized things,
makes me feel calm and safe.
Perhaps boring, but it helps in my work.
Standardizing is good. It preempts me, my students
and my fellow colleagues what to be
expected during my lesson.
I may have more of their traits but
let me just list down the apparent traits I do have now.
And last trait im beginning to have is
low tolerance to loud noises.
Usually, i will blast up my TV or MP3 but lately,
ive begin to appreciate music or sound
at audible volume.
I like this minor improvement cuz'
I dont want to turn deaf if i continue to blast up
the volume!
U see, they indeed have many good points
that we neuro-typical should follow.
In my eyes, they are ON PAR as us, neuro typical.
NEVER ever say they are stupid or to say
they are disabled or retarded
because you will be amaze that their hidden talents
may surpass others!
No one ever ever look down on them just because
they are different.
